Diane Samuels 2007

An exceptionally accomplished artist and humanitarian, she has won two major international competitions, including an installation at the Center for Jewish History in New York City and a series of projects in south Germany where she worked with the community to confront the Nazi legacy and facilitate reconciliation through art. She co-founded Pittsburgh's City of Asylum chapter, which provides sanctuary to writers in exile.
